Two of the most important lessons that leaders have gained from the onset of the pandemic are trusting flexibility and practicing empathy. Tackling the strategy of the future of work invites a decision to transition from the mantra of a one-size-fits-all mindset to engaging with overarching principles, guidelines, and flexibility.

It is now critically important for companies to communicate with employees and prioritise what is significant for the current time, in contrast to focusing on what has worked in the past. Companies that prioritise innovation and thinking out-of-the-box stand to gain in the future from being better positioned to attract and retain talent.
