The advancements in the SME technology revolution

With many small businesses in the UK operating at an exceptional level with only under 50 employees, queries have been made into how popular this approach to business development is becoming.

The UK is home to 5.4m micro SMEs that have fewer than nine employees, according to the House of Commons library. They are lean businesses operating with an all hands to the pump approach. However technology vendors are beginning to offer affordable solutions to automate key business functions for the SMEs, which enables these companies to free up staff for other objectives such as growing their business or building relationships with their customers. Employing 33% of the UK, this new approach to SME technology could prompt a rise in popularity for the SME approach.
