Here’s a flavour of what to expect from our masterclasses:
DEI Strategy: Sparking Real Progress in Racial Equity
Presented by Ruchi Jalla, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, BAE Systems
We are in the midst of two global pandemics, one related to health and the other being connected to racial injustice – both of which have disproportionately impacted the Black community.
Many organizations are coming forward with statements and actions on diversity, equity and inclusion but are they truly reflective of significant and sustainable change?
This session will guide you on how to incorporate an employee-driven and company-supported approach to advancing racial equity. DEI cannot be a passing trend but must be alive and embedded into the business – and must be driven by both a moral and business case for change.
Learning in the Age of Social Distancing
Presented by Ben Eubanks, Principal Analyst, Lighthouse Research & Advisory
Data from Lighthouse Research & Advisory shows that 80% of employers believe their people will need reskilling in the coming years–is your business ready?
That upskilling and reskilling has often been seen as a classroom or instructor-led training experience, but in the age of social distancing, more companies are looking at ways to modernize their learning. The good news?
This is aligned with how we naturally learn as humans. In this session, author and HR analyst Ben Eubanks will share research and insights on the neuroscience of learning, informal learning as an employee development tool, and more.
Spotlight on the Empathetic Leader
Presented by Claude Silver, Chief Heart Officer, VaynerMedia
The qualities that define the most successful leaders have evolved as a result of recent times. More than ever, leaders need to show empathy, humanity and a strong sense of purpose. Over the past few months, there have been excellent examples of leadership including positive accountability, adopting a people-first approach and rare displays of emotion which are setting a precedent for the future. This session will address the ways in which leaders can adapt to the needs of their people and use softer skills to guide them through the new landscape, inspiring them whilst showing that it’s okay to be vulnerable.
Transforming the Way You Work: Small Changes in Work Habits To Build a More Effective Organization
Presented by Paul Hevesy, Vice President – Organizational Effectiveness, Stanley Black & Decker
The way we are working must continue to evolve and HR is uniquely positioned to help transform an organization’s work culture in meaningful ways. In this session you’ll be reminded of some common work principles, how impactful they can be and how you, as an HR leader, can start today to build a more effective work culture.
