In the world of HR, employee engagement is a common but notoriously difficult-to-define concept. Its intangible and nebulous nature means that, even though we know what it looks and feels like, it can be challenging to describe what it really is. In an era where engaging employees can often be a more challenging task than ever before, this presents a major problem for the HR function. In order to overcome the abrupt changes we’re currently facing in the world of work, now is the time for HR leaders to truly grasp the concept of employee engagement and implement it with conviction and intent. In this session, we explore one possibility of explaining the mechanisms of engagement, and the potential to created a unified definition of it.
