The old, episodic approach to leadership development won’t work to meet the ever more critical needs of today’s leaders. The fact is, with the disruption and change we have experienced this year, the definition of what makes a strong, successful leader has changed. As a result, organizations must recognize this and adapt their leadership development efforts accordingly. But that said, there’s a danger in swinging the pendulum too far in favor of on-demand learning. Instead, HR needs to be thinking about getting leaders the right type of development for every moment of leadership. In this session, we will explore this very principle, identifying how HR can refine leadership development in accordance with this new and unfamiliar world of work we now find ourselves in.
