How HR Leaders Are Helping to Develop the Next Generation of Business Leaders

The employment and leadership development environment has been forever changed. Job candidates at the highest levels of the organization are more discerning than ever. They’re also more likely to seek out positions that can provide them with flexible working conditions and opportunities for skills development and career advancement.

According to last year’s HR Cultivating Leadership report, 93% of HR leaders were strategically re-evaluating or transforming their company’s approach to skills and many were introducing new skills-based leadership strategies. They also believed diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and skills-based hiring would be two of the most important HR leadership trends in 2021.

This report explores how HR leaders’ priorities have evolved over the past 12 months and what strategies they will put into place to foster the next generation of leadership. It also provides key suggestions from HR leaders on how to tackle pressing challenges like changing workforce trends, skills-based hiring needs, worker shortages, and more.
