Research published by Deloitte has found that there has been a massive rise in leaders planning for ‘multiple scenarios’ and ‘unlikely, high impact events’; this indicates that many operators feel that there remains a need for overcoming disruption in the future. Additionally, from the same findings, leaders are not just looking to optimise work, but to reimagine it entirely.
It goes without saying that recent times have created mass uncertainty, and as such, it’s vital to recognise the key priorities to ensure success. These include devising the most effective workplaces, encouraging fruitful collaboration, building resilience, and harnessing the benefits of flexible working.
Joining our latest video discussion is Jason Fowler, VP, HR Director UK & Head of HR Northern & Western Europe at one of the world’s leading information technology equipment and services firms: Fujitsu Global. As outlined in our recent podcast, Jason has a wealth of insights to share with fellow leaders: the purpose and design of tomorrow’s workplaces (which Deloitte’s research raises as a major concern), how the relationship between employers and employees has evolved, the importance of health and wellbeing to ensure success, and how talent management can continue as organisations are overcoming disruption.
Jason relates many key priorities to initiatives that have been undertaken at Fujitsu Global, including a move away from office presenteeism to spaces where ideas can be formulated and executed, why leaders have a greater stake in the wellbeing of employees, and a shift towards measuring the impact that employees make within an organisation. In Jason’s view, the post-pandemic world is a different place to what it was before, and strategies should be refined so organisations can hit their goals and maximise their employees’ potential.
