From Babies With Love helped businesses to recognise the difference they can make to the lives of children by partnering with social enterprises at the HRD Summit UK 2020.

From Babies with Love got creative at the HRD Summit UK 2020, in demonstrating the ways they could add value for delegates, and showing how partnering with a social enterprise can make a huge difference.

In partnership with Contentive, From Babies with Love ran a live impact calculator during the Summit to count the number of vulnerable children who could be supported by From Babies with Love and the potential clients they engaged with.

“As first-time exhibitors, we wanted to understand the depth of interest from HR Directors in working with social enterprises – were they at the summit to talk about purpose and engage with the vision of the quirky impact calculator?”, said Rachael Woodman, Client Partnerships Director.

“We honestly had no idea but there we were bright and early with a beautiful lounge set up in the exhibitor area. And wow. What a brilliant two days of conversation and engagement we had – not only was the topic of purpose welcomed but it prominently featured throughout the speaker programme, including Stephen Robertson’s (CEO, Big Issue Foundation) fantastic closing keynote.”

“Our stand was a hive of activity, of questions, of incredible interest – the Directors we met were so interested to talk about purpose-led brands like From Babies with Love, and specifically about the huge value we add to their Parental Leave strategy, about how partnering with us is a communication of an organisation’s culture and values.”

“I was so excited to see FBWL at the HRD 2020 Conference. We have been working with them for a few months and it was wonderful to meet the team in person,” said Leigh Lafever Ayer, HR Director, Enterprise Holdings.

“It is so important for us to engage with our employees as they become parents.  Their products are lovely and the ethos behind the company fits in with our values, culture and being part of both the local and international communities we serve. While From Babies with Love is a UK Social Enterprise they work globally so our teams in Ireland are loving the gifts and our German colleagues are looking at options that work for their new parents.“

Since the HRD Summit, From Babies With Love have already set up new partnerships and are in conversation with many more organisations aiming to start serving their Parental Leave programmes.

“We’re well on our way to supporting 20,000 vulnerable children, as the impact calculator forecast,” said Woodman.

“The HRD Summit was a fantastic event; a big thank you to the team at Contentive. We learned a huge amount and most importantly we confirmed that the appetite for change, for social enterprise supplier partnerships, for ethical business choices, is ever growing. Exactly as it should be.”

From Babies with Love helps solve the challenge of connecting across parental leave, contributing to talent retention and gender balance objectives. A social enterprise, they donate 100% of their profits to orphaned and abandoned children around the world; their beautiful parental leave gifts create poignant engagement, because of the social impact story.
