Dr. Shaun Davis, Royal Mail Group at HRD Summit UK 2020
Watch Dr Shaun Davis, Global Director of Safety, Health, Wellbeing and Sustainability at the Royal Mail Group discuss strategies to champion financial wellbeing and create open, healthy workplace cultures where employees feel able reach out.
Much the same way there has been an increased understanding of the role mental health takes in physical health, organisations are beginning to understand the importance of financial health as a source of stress and stigma in employees’ lives.
Business leaders are starting to look at new methods of supporting the financial wellbeing of their employees – from flexible pay schedules to impartial advice services. However, employees are often not comfortable discussing their financial wellbeing with their employer or even each other.
Watch Dr Shaun Davis, Global Director of Safety, Health, Wellbeing and Sustainability at the Royal Mail Group discuss his session at the HRD Summit UK, on creating strategies to tackle the taboo around talking about money, stress and mental health to create an open, healthy culture where employees feel able reach out.
