The main reasons for work-related stress for the UK workforce

With such a large number of workers suffering from work-related stress in the UK, and 15.4 million days a year being lost due to this. We look at the most common reasons for this.

With recent figures from the Health and Saftey Executive (HSE) showing that approximately 600,000 workers in the UK suffer from work-related stress, depressions, or anxiety. Reboot Digital Marketing agency initiated a survey to find the most common reasons why the UK workforce are stressed at work.

The most common reasons for this included an overload of work being expected of them, followed by unrealistic targets, as well as employees feeling frustrated by the lack of effort and competence from their co-workers.

When being asked how they attempt to deal with their stress at work, the majority of the participants mentioned that complaining to another person was the best way to aid this, closely followed by taking time off work.
