Over the summer, it was announced that EMCOR UK had become recognised as a Living Wage Foundation Recognised Service Provider.

This marks a commitment by one of the country’s leading facilities management companies to pay all directly employed staff members, not tied to client contracts, the real living wage.

It comes as welcome news in a time marked by financial stress for professionals of all stripes: debts accumulated during the pandemic, a move to furlough or reduced hours, and uncertain job prospects. That said, while remuneration remains a key motivator, many professionals now express a desire for greater flexibility and equitable workplace settings.

As such, how is EMCOR UK working to create an HR strategy that treats wellbeing on a holistic basis? In what ways does it help other companies create better workplaces? Plus, how is the company endeavouring to implement the most effective ways of working?

To find out more, in the latest episode of the HRD Live Podcast, we spoke to Dylan Wickenden, EMCOR UK’s executive director of HR.
