As we emerge from an era-defining period of disruption, our focus is gradually shifting from crisis management to developing the organizations of a new working world.

Strategic challenges that were often granted secondary status in the pre-coronavirus business landscape are now totally at front-of-mind for an HR function with the wind at its back. Safety (both psychological and physical), communication, mindset shifts and organizational development will determine the success or failure of businesses in 2020 and beyond.

Our guest on this week’s episode of the HRD Live Podcast is Kim Atherton, CEO & Co-Founder of just3things.

Kim and Michael Hocking dive into the different aspects of the post-pandemic mindset, identify the challenges that lie ahead, and put forward solutions for HR leaders to take into battle with them.

Kim Atherton joined joined OVO Energy 5 years ago as Chief People Officer when the team were just 50-strong. She oversaw rapid employee growth whilst taking the business to 20th in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work. Prior to this she was a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, consulting globally with organisations including HSBC, Virgin Atlantic and Novartis.

Whilst at OVO, Kim developed just3things, a software platform that helps to transparently align goals of remote teams to the organization’s strategy. J3T branched out as a separate business in 2018, and now works with a wide range of clients including Deloitte, Paypoint, Veloia and the NHS.
