During times of stress and crisis, exclusion and bias can increase. In order to ensure enhanced inclusion and employee engagement in the new hybrid workplace, we need to increase our capacity to be open-minded and empathetic. Rather than telling employees where they should work, organizations should seek to redesign and re-imagine the purpose of the workplace. HR leaders have an opportunity to listen to their people, take learnings from the new ways of working, and use them to accelerate inclusion.
