Talent acquisition at scale: Avature sets the pace

by Josh Bersin | Talent Acquisition

With talent acquisition being rendered a greater challenge than ever before, now is the time for organizations to get ahead of the curve. In fact, it’s well-established that even prior to the disruption caused by COVID-19, talent is typically one of the most complex corporate spaces to navigate.

What’s more, the significance of talent acquisition is not to be underestimated, particularly in the new world of work we now find ourselves in. Not only does it set the stage for growth and business continuity, but it plays a major role in creating a company brand within the market that will serve to continue attracting high-quality talent in years to come.

And of course, the influence this has on cultivating and fostering company culture is crucial. The acquisition process presents the opportunity to showcase and reinforce elements of the organization’s culture, which again allows it to strengthen its overall employer brand over a long period of time.

In 2020, technology is the cornerstone of acquisition

As is the case with virtually all elements of the modern business world, technology forms a core component of the talent acquisition process. In fact, with the predominantly virtual world we now find ourselves in, this is more instrumental than ever.

Digital tools are now essential in order to advertise and attract candidates from multiple sources, communicate with them, assess them, conduct video interviews and various assessment stages, perform background checks, compose and communicate job offers, and much more.

As a result, the market is now rife with technological solutions designed to tackle each of these processes. In fact, research shows that the average recruiting function now has more than 20 different systems. As organizations attempt to stitch these together, the operations become more complex, the data is hard to manage, and the user experience becomes increasingly difficult for everyone involved.
