Welcome to your weekly HRD Connect update!
We’ve just arrived back from our annual HRD Summit event, where we were treated to two insightful days of thought leadership and innovative ideas that our delegates can hopefully implement into their working lives. Key themes that emerged from the event were the need to embrace technology and not shy away from it, and letting data lead insights and grow your organisational intelligence. Other emerging themes were the constant changes occurring around business landscapes and how to be adaptable and agile as a leader. We carried out exclusive interviews with the HRD Summit speakers, which will be shared over the coming weeks.
In this week’s technology themed newsletter, we’ve included the video that welcomed the delegates to the HRD Summit 2018, which highlighted all the key themes we anticipate to be topical and challenging over the coming year. We ask the question: “With the many challenges that lie ahead, what does the future hold for HR?” We also talk about how technology is driving HR positively forward with a feature from The Tech Village, where the most disruptive innovations in HR technology were showcased via live demos at the HRD Summit. Siemens also talk to us about the ever changing working environment, and how important it is for leaders to stay up to date on technological advances:
“Our business environment is changing extremely fast. Digitalisation is still very much underestimated in its disruptive impact on B2B.” – Dr. Robert Neuhauser, Corporate Executive VP and Global Head of People and Leaders, Siemens.
We are passionate about giving helpful and worthwhile advice to you as an HR professional, therefore we are keen to hear about the challenges you and your business face in this VUCA world. Please take a few minutes out of your day to look at our survey titled: “What are the biggest HR challenges right now?”
If you were at the HRD Summit, we’d love to know what session you enjoyed the most – do get in touch with me at [email protected].
Very best,
