Wellness is at the top of many HR agendas but eating well and taking the correct amount of exercise can be tough if you’re finding it difficult to manage your financial situation and most probably finding it incredibly stressful. As an employer identifying that employees are struggling with their own financial situation is often the most challenging part. There is a stigma that exists within UK work culture around finances and money – and this is dangerous because the more the issue is concealed, the bigger the impact will be on the employees as well as overall wellness of the business and its productivity. We look further into the importance of financial wellbeing within organisations.
Despite sexual harassment being prevalent in workplaces of all sizes and sectors, it is often under-reported particularly by men who have been sexually harassed at work. We hear from employment lawyer, Madeleine Mould who explains how this situation should be managed from a legal perspective.
It’s not always easy to spot signs of workplace stress as everyone copes in different ways. Asking an employee or a colleague if they’re stressed offers no guarantees that they’ll tell you how they’re really feeling. But, spotting the signs early can help to prevent longer-term issues. Behavioural psychologist, Richard Jenkins discusses.
