Welcome to your HRD Connect update!

What does the future of work look like at Facebook? Cyrus Akrami, Head of Marketing Development at Workplace, Facebook spoke exclusively to HRD Connect about what he anticipates the future of work to be.

“It’s important for people to understand how technology can help them to get their work done.” – Cyrus Akrami

At the recent HRD Summit/Europe, the executive panel discussed how we can become curators of the new business landscape and predict the future of work?

The future of work is a highly anticipated area within HR, which everyone either has an opinion on or is eagerly awaiting the discovery of the next big development. Artificial intelligence (AI), agile working and diversification appeared to take the front seat when the panel defined the biggest drivers and disruptors to our current working lives.

The executive panel consisted of:

  • Kim Atherton, Chief People Officer, Ovo Energy
  • Agnes Jongkind, Global Vice President Human Resources, Deutsche Telekom AG
  • Nico Orie, Vice President HR Strategy, and Operations, Coca-Cola European Partners
  • Rosa Lee, SVP, Global Human Resource Management, Bosch
  • Wanda Hope, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Johnson & Johnson

Read our exclusive panel summary below.

It’s clear that human recognition leads to productivity. Average cash rewards aren’t motivating everyone anymore. Dr Marie Puybaraud explains why it takes a human touch for modern workers to really feel valued and appreciated.
