Welcome to your HRD Connect update!
Diversity and inclusion is an ever-expanding area within HR. According to the CIPD an effective diversity and inclusion strategy goes beyond legal compliance and seeks to add value to an organisation, contributing to employee well-being and engagement. Andrew Lawson, Head of HR at Shakespeare’s Globe talks exclusively to HRD Connect about the diversity and inclusion in existence at the Globe ensuring they foster a culture as rich as their heritage.
“We need to see how we can use technology to increase reach and engagement and encourage managers and leaders to ensure that all of our teams feel involved and included at every stage of employment.” Andrew Lawson, Head of HR, Shakespeare’s Globe
When MVF’s (recognised this year by The Sunday Times as one of the best 100 companies to work for in the UK) founders got together in 2009 to create a smarter customer generation business, they were committed to building a company which was not just successful, but was also a really great place to work. So, how do you create that culture? Hannah Meredith, health and wellbeing advisor at MVF tells us how we can create a more mindful place to work.
We are undeniably now in an era of rapidly developing technology; everything that defines the way we work is either entirely technologically based, or at least has shades of artificial intelligence (AI). We showcase the areas of extensive growth and evolution within HR.
